LenapeIndians.com is
your starting point in learning about the Lenape Indian
culture, its Nations, and Resources on the Web.
The Lenape tribe is known by
two names; that of Lenape, and Delaware, a
name later to the tribe by European
colonists.
The Lenape people were a
sedentary matriarchal society, and relied
heavily on agriculture to survive.
Although they seemingly got
along with the colonists at first, conflicts
later emerged that would ultimately force the
Lenape to relocate.
On our website, you'll find
a list of current day tribes, and links to
their websites.
We have also included a
discussion board so that you may exchange comments, ideas,
and information; whether it be about your ancestry, or news
about the current events which concern you, feel free to
share your thoughts.
